SCHLEIER LAW OFFICES CONTINUES TO RECEIVE HONORS

Both Tod Schleier and Brad Schleier have been recognized by their peers in their continued selection to this year's Best Lawyers in America. This is the fourth year, both have been selected to the honor. For Tod, it is his 21st year in the publication. Check out the Best Lawyer's Website. Additionally, for the second time in the last three years, Tod has been selected the Phoenix Employment Law-Individuals "Lawyer of the Year."

Upcoming Tod Schleier Engagements

On February 1, 2011, Tod participated as a panel member at the biennial midwinter meeting of the judges of the Ninth Circuit in Rancho Mirage, California. The title of the panel's discussion was " Ashcroft v. Iqbal : A Civil Litigation Game-Changer or Just a bit of Fine-Tuning" and the discussion focused upon the effect of the United States Supreme Court's Iqbal decision would have on civil litigation in federal courts.

Tod has also been asked to speak at the Defense Research Institute's Employment and Labor Law Seminar in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 19, 2011. The subject of his talk is "Behind Enemy Li8nes - The Plaintiff's Perspective on Depositions and Written Discovery."

Tod was recently appointed by the Chief United States District Judge for the District of Arizona to serve on the Merit Selection Committee for the purpose of accepting and processing applications as well as holding oral interviews for the full-time United States Magistrate Judge position for the District of Arizona in Phoenix, Arizona.

Brad Schleier Serves as Panelist at Fall Labor and Employment Section Meeting

Brad Schleier served as a panelist at the Arizona Bar Associations Labor and Employment Section Annual Fall Conference. The panel's discussion focused on pre-litigation tactics and resolution.

Schleier Law Offices was recently ranked as a Tier 1 law firm for representation of individuals in employment law by U.S. News and World Report in their Best Law Firms edition. SCHLEIER SETTLES FALSE CLAIM CASE

Schleier Law Offices represented Ronald Irwin in a False Claims Act ("Qui Tam Action") claim against Grand Canyon University. On August 17, 2010, the United Stated District Court of Arizona approved the settlement of the claims filed by Mr. Irwin for $5.2 million in United State of America ex rel. Ronald D. Irwin v. Signifcant Education Inc. The settlement proceeds will be distributed to both the United States and Mr. Irwin.
